Duncan Waiving Utility Late Fees During Holidays

By Blake Moren, CTCN Correspondent

Due to the many concerns raised by homeowners, Duncan city councilors announced on Nov. 7 an extension to waive utility bill fees until the end of 2024.

At their Oct. 22 meeting, residents expressed concerns about the restarting of the city utility disconnects for accounts that have past due balances and their bills.

To assist customers, the city councilors announced on Nov. 7 that they are waiving the late fees between Nov. 1 and Dec 31. According to a City of Duncan release, the late fees will resume effective on Jan.1.

The due dates for the customer payments will be Monday through Thursday.  Here are the due dates for the payments:

  • Area 1’s due dates are on the 5th of each month
  • Area 2’s dates will be on the 10th of each month.
  • Area 3 will be on the 15th of each month
  • Area 4 will be on the 20th of each month.

To find the area you live in, look at the first digit on their billing account.
