A yet unidentified elderly couple (man and woman) reportedly united in matrimony last Saturday evening
at Gramps Party Porch west of Duncan. The sunset ceremony was witnessed by almost thirty families and
friends of the couple. The ceremony was unplanned and rumored to be a ‘shotgun’ wedding by some of those in attendance. Following the ceremony one of the guests was overheard to tell the bride that she could call him at 3:00 a.m.. The guests were treated to a BBQ brisket and smoked turkey dinner prior to the ceremony, and cake and some kind of purple ‘punch’ following. The groom stated that the couple would be embarking on a ‘Cruise”, which he heard was the going thing for newly wed’s honeymoon, and that the couple would cruise over to his house on Saturday evening and cruise over to her house the following day, and would be willing to cruise over to anyone else’s house if they had room and something to eat.
