The Stephens County Genealogy Society is taking its annual meeting to the Stephens County Historical Museum.
The meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the museum.
According to a letter to Genealogy Society members, “We are taking a field trip for our annual meeting and going to the Stephens County Historical Museum to view the newly restored military display and hear stories of the military heroes of Stephens County.”
The guest speaker for the museum will be Keith Colley, who will share these military stories.
The event is open to the public.
The annual meeting is also the launch of the Genealogy Society’s membership drive. The society has four membership levels: Silver for 25 dollars, Gold for 50 dollars, Platinum for 100 dollars, and Diamond for 1000 dollars.
