One last Barn Quilt workshop for the year will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, or
Saturday, Oct. 19. Cost is $40 and includes all supplies, patterns as well snacks. OHCE suggests participants bring a brown bag lunch. Sign up now to reserve your spot. Only a few spaces are available.

Stephens County Oklahoma Home and Community Education (OHCE) will host BARN QUILT Painting Workshops by Brenda Gandy, OSU Extension Educator. The quilt workshops will take place
in the Heritage Room of the Stephens County Fairgrounds Expo Center.

What’s a barn quilt? A barn quilt is a quilt pattern painted on an outdoor sign board and hung on
an outside structure. Barn Quilts may be hung anywhere – public buildings, businesses, schools, garages, houses/porches, garden sheds, fences, as freestanding signs, on gates, hanging from a mailbox, or on barns and outbuildings.

Join a number of other quilt makers for this fun-filled day of painting. The size will be 24” x 24” and a variety of patterns will be available – or design your own! OHCE will provide all painting supplies (wood, paints, brushes, and patterns). Registration is open to the public at a cost of $40. OHCE members discounted rate is $30. These are one-day workshops participants select the date they want to attend.

Registration must be paid in advance to reserve your spot. We accept cash or checks. Register in person
or by mail at the OSU Extension Office, 2002 S. 13th, Duncan, OK. Participants should select either the Friday or Saturday workshop.
