Duncan Police Department congratulates Officers Gray, Hanson, Hicks, Keplinger, and Sanchez for each earning a Gallantry Star.
The Gallantry Star is a law enforcement award given to officers who “perform acts of distinguished bravery in the arrest and/or apprehension of a person who is a major threat to the welfare of the community and/or the officer.”
“The Gallantry Star is the fourth highest award given by a police department, and we thank our officers for their commitment to our community. Each of them strives to deliver our mission of enhancing our community’s quality of life by providing excellent police services to our citizens and visitors while maintaining the highest ethical standards and I am proud to recognize each of them,” said Chief Brian Attaway.
