On Nov. 9 at 10 a.m., the W.T. Foreman Prairie House will go up for public auction. It was built in 1918. It is located at 814 W. Oak St.
Auctioneer Gary Criswell said the prairie house is “a crown jewel” and “a keepsake landmark.”
“I consider it a true honor to be chosen as the auctioneer to offer this historic home at public auction,” Criswell said.
Criswell said the goal is to keep the prairie house historical. He hopes that someone makes an offer on the home to keep its historical value alive.
The prairie house is listed for $195,000. The auction preview will be from 1-6 p.m. on Nov. 8.
