By Blake Moren, CTCN Correspondent

On Sept. 27, the annual Elk Crossing Party used hot dogs, treats and fun to foster intergenerational bonding Sept. 27 at the Elk Crossing Nursing & Rehabilitation. Bonding between the Elk Crossing residents took place with pre-kindergarten students, the Duncan High School football team, cheerleaders and the POM Squad. Bethany Stewart, Elk Crossing Nursing and Rehabilitation Center Administrator, said they love hosting this party every year. “It brings out the high school kids, members of our community, our home health, hospice partners are all here to help celebrate Duncan and the football team and everybody today,” Stewart said. “It’s just an interesting way to get the seniors involved with the kids and the high school kids. ”The high school students helped with the games and food booths. The cheerleaders also did a few cheer routines. 90 Elk Crossing Residents were present, as well as twenty-eight preschoolers.
