Through a series of informational sessions, Cameron University’s Duncan campus is going to continue preparing homeschooled students for college. Its next session will be on Nov. 14 from 6-7 p.m.
It will be called “Paying for Post-Secondary Education.” The session is also free and no registration is required.
Dakota Kaus, CU-Duncan Executive Director, said they want to make sure that they provide access to resources and important information to help both parents and students navigate the process.
“We want to make sure that parents know what financial aid opportunities exist and how their children can apply for them,” Kaus said.
The session is both in-person and virtual. It is welcome to both students and parents across southwest Oklahoma.
The workshop will include Oklahoma Money Matters (OKMM) representatives. These representatives will present information regarding financial aid, which includes the Free Application for Federal Aid (FAFSA) process and scholarships.
OKMM is an initiative of the Oklahoma Assistance Program and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. They provide financial choices via providing educational training for both students, as well as their families.
