It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Karina C. Sherman on October 8, 2024, at the age of 60.

Karina, known as Cindy to most, was born on September 29, 1964, in Fort Worth, Texas to Bettye Caddell.  She was a military child, so this allowed her to travel the world.  Her family would settle in Lawton, Oklahoma.  She graduated from Lawton High School in 1982.

Cindy was a homemaker.  She loved a good book or challenging puzzle.  Traveling was something that she really enjoyed, and she had a trip planned to begin on October 5th to go out west to see the Grand Canyon, the Hoover Dam, and Las Vegas with her husband.  Cooking was something that Cindy was really good at – her skills would rival that of a professional.  However, the thing that she enjoyed most was being a mother to her children and a “Memaw” to her grandchildren.  

Cindy Sherman is survived by her husband, Steve Sherman; children Brett Sherman (Channon), Yolanda Caddell (Dominic), Eric Wilson, Angela McComas (John), and Travis Sherman; grandchildren Deven, Jaidyn, Taylor, Hailee, Riley, DJ, Jackson, Bradford, and Sloan; mother Bettye Caddell, brothers David Caddell and Casey Caddell and sister Rayanna Caddell.  

To honor Cindy’s wishes, no service will be held.  The family invites you to privately celebrate Cindy’s life in your own way.  She will be with all of us in spirit.  Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time.
