Chris Deal, completing a 13 year career of guiding the Duncan Chamber of Commerce as it’s President and Chief Executive Officer was honored with a taco themed retirement celebration last Thursday in the city’s council chambers.
Deal had announced his intention to retire from the Chamber in the latter part of 2023. He will continue in the office until the end of January.
Deal was greeted with well wishers from throughout the community during the noon to 2 pm event.
Deal says he will be working as a consultant for government, nonprofits and businesses following retirement.
Deal encouraged the community to continue to support and work through the many Chamber programs in Duncan.
The Chamber advertised for a replacement for Deal, but no announcement has been made in who might follow in Deal’s footsteps.
