Republicans Open Election Headquarters

Stephens County Republican Party opened its annual Election Headquarters on September 2nd in the Elk Plaza Shopping Center.
“This is a great location for our headquarters this year,” said Leon Farris, chairman of the local political group. “It is in a busy, but handy location for anyone to drop by who wants to pick up campaign signs or get literature on ballot issues. We will even help you get registered to vote regardless of which party you want to belong to.”
The headquarters, paid for by local fundraisers, will be open Monday through Friday from Noon to 6 pm, and Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm. Farris said that citizens could pick up candidate yard signs and other voter information materials along with Trump merchandise on hand. He wanted to remind people that county headquarters is provided and funded through local volunteers and that many think that the National Organization (RNC) helps, but the local party does not receive any monetary assistance from the RNC.
Monthly meetings will move to the Headquarters (2nd Thursday each month at 7 pm) during the election cycle as well as the Constitution Alive classes set to begin on Tuesday, September 10 and run through October 22nd.
A Watch Party for the Presidential Debate was featured on September 10th on a big-screen TV. Other activities and opportunities will be available as the election nears.
Liberty classes are being held for homeschoolers to attend, which will feature local elected officials speaking to the students.
“It’s a very comfortable atmosphere when you come in, and anyone is welcome to join us,” said Farris. “We hope to educate voters on not only our candidates but also the issues that may be on the ballot such as state questions and judge retention.”
A Grand Opening Ribbon Cutting is planned in the next few weeks according to Farris but citizens are welcome to come by anytime.
